This web site is presented by the
Macedon and Mt. Macedon Business and Tourist Association Inc. (MMMBATA).

The Macedon and Mt. Macedon Business and Tourist Association Inc. (MMMBATA) is a not for profit organisation comprising volunteers with diverse interests that promotes the vibrant and beautiful district of Macedon and Mount Macedon.

The membership represents local businesses and interest groups that include accommodation, restaurants, hotels, medical, retail and professional service providers who operate in the Macedon and Mount Macedon area.

MMMBATA works with the Macedon Ranges Shire Council to promote, maintain and improve the services and facilities in the area to showcase and encourage Tourism visitations to the shopping villages of Macedon and Mount Macedon and the abundant recreational facilities such as historic gardens, art and entertainment venues.

MMMBATA members and volunteers also provide a focal point at Centenary Park to celebrate the Christmas festive season by installing decorative lighting in the magnificent canopies of the oak trees which enhance the colourful entrance to the southern approaches to Macedon and Mount Macedon townships.

MMMBATA was instrumental in the planning and location of the Tourism display and Information boards erected at Centenary Park that assist visitors to explore the beauty of the area or just relax at the rotunda. The Ash Wednesday Park playground and BBQ facilities in Smith Street Macedon was an initiative of the MMMBATA and planned by the local business organisation after the 1983 Ash Wednesday bushfires.

The Macedon and Mt. Macedon Business and Tourist Association Inc. promotes and encourages visitors to the district who can enjoy the facilities and natural beauty of the area highlighted in this Tour Map and Directory which has been fully funded by the members of MMMBATA.
