With glorious views, the Cross commemorates those who gave their lives in the 1914 – 1918 war. The Cross is 21m in height and 1001m above sea level, the original structure was unveiled in 1935, but due to storm and fire damage, it was replaced in 1995.

After the Shrine of Remembrance, Mount Macedon Memorial Cross is considered to be the most significant war memorial in Victoria.

The view from the cross takes in the entire southern plain towards Port Philip Bay. It is a view that even locals return to, time and time again.
